PEOPLE & PLATFORM GRANTS NOW OPEN (2026)

The Stan Perron Charitable Foundation has opened its 2026 Health Research funding round for People (Research Fellowships) and Platform Grants, supporting research capacity and capability across Western Australia.

The 2026 round is open from 1 April to 27 May, with applications submitted via an Expression of Interest (EOI) through the Foundation’s online platform.

This round focuses on investing in both people and infrastructure — enabling research that aims to improve the health and wellbeing of children, adolescents and young people in WA.

People Grants (Research Fellowships) support current and emerging research leaders, from PhD-level researchers through to senior investigators. Fellowships provide partial or full salary support for up to five years, along with an annual research allowance of up to $20,000 to support non-salary costs.

By investing directly in researchers, these fellowships aim to build long-term capability, leadership and impact within Western Australia’s health research sector.

Platform Grants support the infrastructure and enabling capabilities required to deliver high-quality research, including data solutions, equipment, facilities, biobanks, research training, and consumer and community engagement.

Priority is given to platforms that are accessible across institutions and that strengthen research quality, collaboration and impact throughout WA.

All applications must align with the Foundation’s Health Research Funding Guidelines and demonstrate clear benefit to child and youth health in Western Australia.
