FOODBANK WA'S CHRISTMAS APPEAL BRINGS JOY TO STRUGGLING WESTERN AUSTRALIAN FAMILIES

For a growing number of Western Australian households impacted by the rising cost of living, the festive season can be an incredibly challenging time.

Families with children at home may face a difficult choice of whether to provide their loved ones with a gift or use scarce funds to purchase food for Christmas lunch.

To help ensure that no one misses out during the holiday season, Foodbank WA has launched its 2023 Christmas Appeal — which will support various projects to alleviate hunger and food insecurity throughout the community.

Funds raised during the Christmas Appeal allow Foodbank to prepare and deliver over one million meals to aid the growing number of individuals, families and children in Western Australia struggling to cope with higher food prices.

Foodbank WA will also work with its local charity partner, Mission Australia to pack Christmas hampers specially provided for attendees of Mission Australia’s annual Christmas Lunch in the Park.

On top of its ongoing support for Foodbank WA’s activities, the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation committed additional funding towards the 2023 Christmas Appeal.

Every dollar will help Foodbank WA during the busiest time of the year to ensure thousands of children and adults get to experience the joys of the holiday season.
